CMO is very interested in sub-Saharan Africa, as these are countries that are growing a lot and are going to need a lot of new infrastructure.

Pablo Gómez is the General Director of CMO, a company from Gipuzkoa that manufactures Valves, Gates and Dampers.

On the occasion of the Trade Mission to Egypt, Pablo shared some of his impressions about the trip with FLUIDEX.

CMO did not visit the EGYPS exhibition since this fair is focused on the Oil&Gas sector and CMO interest was to strengthen its position in the Egyptian market.

What is your opinion of the Trade Mission to Egypt, organized by FLUIDEX?

These types of initiatives are always interesting. In addition, as part of the trip, an agreement was signed with a new local distributor. Egypt is a country that is recovering positions and becoming very dynamic in recent times.

Within the framework of the Mission, a meeting was also organized with several companies from FLUIDEX and the EPC METITO, which develops many projects in the WATER sector, as well as one of the main construction companies in the country, ORASCOM.

Do you find this type of initiative interesting?

Having the opportunity to meet with this type of company is always interesting and although they have their way of working and it is difficult to get in here, joint meetings allow us to have a more direct approach.

What is the international strategy of CMO for 2022?

CMO is very interested in sub-Saharan Africa, as these are countries that are growing a lot and are going to need a lot of new infrastructure. In addition, there are already multiple opportunities in the mining sector, where we are very active.
