HIGH-PRESSURE PUMPS FOR A SUGAR PLANT – FRANCE. One of the Europe’s leading sugar and alcohol producer, with 11 production plants located in France has once again placed its trust in EMICA for one of its sugar refinery, with a daily production of 17,000 tons of sugar beet. The group has just installed and started up three HDA-100 high-pressure multistage pumps, manufactured by Emica. These pumps are intended to feed boilers with water at 110°C, a flow rate of 95 m3/h, and 76 bars of pressure. The supply is completed with four EKN 50-250 units that provide auxiliary water service to all the pumps in the facility. In addition, other vertical sump pumps “KVP VUA” design with vortex impeller and special materials, has been supplied to pump waste water from wells, illustrating EMICA´s compromise with fitted solutions for severe process.
