Marina East Desalination Plant (Singapore)
At this desalination plant, 120 Arpol INSTAL couplings in 316L stainless steel were installed to connect GRP, stainless steel and HDPE pipes in critical and highly corrosive areas. Their flexibility allowed for angular deflection, faster installation (5–30 min per coupling), and fewer required operators thanks to their lightweight design and reduced number of bolts.
Orly Drinking Water Plant (France)
A total of 1,160 Arpol INSTAL and Arpol FIX couplings in stainless steel were installed to connect DN50 to DN700 pipes, improving installation times compared to traditional methods such as welding and flanged connections. The couplings also enabled easier access for maintenance in a plant that supplies 25% of Paris’s drinking water.
Jin Mao Tower (China)
During the renovation of the wastewater system of this 88-storey skyscraper, 96 Arpol REP DN250 couplings were installed to replace ductile iron pipe sections. The couplings made installation possible in extremely tight spaces, once again proving their reliability after more than 20 years since their first use in the building.
Copper Mining Plant (Chile)
To repair leaks in grinding and extraction areas, around 500 Arpol REP couplings are installed annually on stainless steel and HDPE pipes ranging from DN48 to DN1000. Their fast installation (5–15 min) helps avoid extended shutdowns, significantly reducing time and costs compared to pipe replacement methods.
Pando Hydroelectric Plant (Panama)
Two Arpol REP DN2800 couplings were used to repair a GRP pressure pipe operating at 6 bar, avoiding a chemical welding solution that required up to 20 days of drying time. The mechanical installation was completed in just 3 hours, cutting costs and preventing a prolonged service interruption.
